The term ‘holistic’ is an ancient term and comes from ‘holy.’ It’s original meaning is to bring life and health. From many cultural views; holistic is defined as the levels of consciousness a person functions from on a daily basis; the subconscious, the conscious, and the higher mind. Each level defines activity within our daily action, daily rest, food consumption, home environment, emotional well-being, relationships, creative endeavors, relationship with nature, and spiritual relations. Every culture defines ‘holism’ within the creation of lifestyle choices.

Experiencing Guided Imagery is like watching a movie. You become the observer of your own thoughts. The Guided Imagery therapist is a guide or coach to help you to settle into a lucid state; an awake, relaxed state of mind. As you enter into lucidity, the movie in your mind becomes clearer and active. The senses come alive and movement begins. At this state of guided imagery, your mind has the capacity to edit the movie. You can take away what is not serving you and add what does. Life is a constant state of movement, it’s not stagnant.
